ATP ranking is the method used by the Association of Tennis Professionals to determine the male tennis rankings. The player with the highest number of ranking points on the ATP Tour is the highest-scoring player.
Since 1990, the Association of Tennis Professionals has organized the ATP Tour, a worldwide tennis tour for men. The ATP consists of the ATP World Tour 250 Series, the ATP World Tour 500 Series and the ATP World Tour Masters 1000.
The Grand Slam tournament is not run by the Tennis Professionals Association (ATP) or the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). It is run by the International Tennis Federation (IDF). But, the WTA and ATP make award ranking points based on the performance of a key player. https://tennisbetslab.com/scores/ click the link for more details.
Why is the ATP ranking important?
The ATP ranking is critical to the reputation of the best players on the global stage. Their score, based on skills and performance, is used to determine who gets tickets to participate in the world’s premier tennis tournaments.
The chances of winning prizes and endorsements are all indirectly dependent on their ATP ranking.
Factors considered for ATP ranking calculation
The rules were constantly updated. In general, the ATP score reflects the performance of the players in the last 18 matches (Grantslam-4, ATP-WDM 1000 -8, previous finals and 6 non-mandatory ATP matches such as the Davis Cup).
In all these areas, Grantslam is very important. The Grand Slam qualifier gets 25 points, but the winner gets 2000 points!
